Lent, Day 30 (Tuesday)

Christ, the Good Shepherd

Spring is in the air! As we move through Lent, the closer we come to Easter, the more the world around us (well, those of us in the northern hemisphere) is transformed. Spring flowers emerge, the birds are singing, the trees are covered in blossom, lambs frolic in the fields.

Jesus is the shepherd of all creation, who tends and cares for us and all the world that he created.

Take a moment to pause, and look at the world around you, for signs of new life and hope. As we wonder at the beauty and hope that Spring brings, we give thanks.

Creator God,

We give you thanks for beauty of the world,

and for the sign of new life and hope

that we see all around us.

Amen.
