Christ the King, from a Fresco in St Anthony’s monastery, Egypt

As you look at this image, notice the following:
The sumptuous royal robes. Christ is our king. His is a kingdom of justice with mercy, of peace and of love.
The halo. Christ is with God and in God and of God. He hears your prayers; knows the cries of your heart; shares in your joys.
The New Testament. Christ is your teacher. Rreceive his spirit of wisdom and revelation.
Christ’s right hand, raised to offer a blessing upon you.
Is there something that you want to say to him; to give to him; to leave with him?
Is there something that Christ wants to say to you?
God the Father,
Help us to hear the call of Christ the King
and to follow in his service,
Whose kingdom has no end;
For he reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, one glory. Amen
