Faithful Presence in a Fractured World
A Church Toolkit for Resisting the Far Right
Edited by Helen Paynter

As Christian nationalism and far-right ideologies gain traction in society and within parts of the Church, many UK pastors are seeking guidance. Faithful Presence in a Fractured World offers practical, theologically grounded tools to help local church leaders respond with courage, clarity, and compassion. Written by experienced practitioners and framed within a UK context, this concise and accessible volume moves beyond abstract theory to offer concrete, achievable steps―ranging from youth engagement and interfaith dialogue to housing justice and digital literacy. With a focus on equipping rather than overwhelming, it’s an essential resource for pastors, activists, and all those concerned about the Church’s witness in an age of extremism.
